Tip number one to capture movement is to pick a longer shutter speed. Picking your shutter speed depends on what your taking a picture of and where. You can also capture movement by moving your camera or your target moves. Stabilizing your camera is also important, you should use a tripod or s stable object. You should also pick shutter priority because on manual you would have to pick all the settings. With shutter priority you still have to choose ISO and shutter speed but shutter priority will ensure the picture is well exposed. You can also panning or slow sync flash to make a blurry background.

To prevent over exposure you should try to narrow the aperture to minimize the light that hits the sensor. If you have shutter priority on, the camera will actually narrow it for you rather than having it on manual. If your picture still isn’t coming out correct you should try to decrease or increase your ISO. The ISO increases or decreases the sensitivity of your sensor, Higher increasing the sensitivity, and lower decreasing it. If you have narrowed your aperture and decreased your ISO and they still don’t come out correct, try a neutral density filter. It is a piece of glass that blocks light from passing through your lens, kind of like sunglasses.
